When you&#8217;re overweight, it&#8217;s likely that you can recite the proper dietary rules in your sleep, but the moment you let your guard down, you find yourself snacking anyway. For example, we can think that when we&#8217;re unhappy, the best comfort is to treat ourselves to a roll of Oreos. Or that watching a TV show on the couch is best when paired with a bag of crisps.\u00a0<br \/>So what needs to happen if you want a slimmer waistline, or a bum that&#8217;s a few pounds lighter? You need to unlearn these stupid habits. The program of all these habits is located in our so-called reptile brain: that lightning-fast acting part of our brain that instinctively makes you think &#8216;Crisps&#8217; the moment you flop onto the couch, immediately steering\/directing you towards the pantry. That reflex needs to go! When that&#8217;s gone, you can stop snacking.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 14px;\">Stop snacking and willpower\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What do you need to change these reflex-directed eating binges? That requires willpower, a horrible word that would make any person with overweight start sighing: &#8216;I wish I had some&#8230;&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 14px;\">Willpoer can be trained and then: you can stop snacking!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Regard willpower as a muscle and look at that, the solution presents itself! A fine study was conducted years ago. They investigated whether you can unlearn the irresistable attraction of something &#8216;really tasty&#8217;. An overweight man who treated himself to lots of candy had put a large bowl of candy on the table in the room where he spends the evenings after work. The first few evenings, he couldn&#8217;t help himself and sneakily grabbed some candy. But&#8230; eventually he managed to walk by the candy, look at it, smell it, and not grab it! Als overwichtige kun je de gezonde voeding richtlijnen wel dromen maar vergrijp je je op teveel onbewaakte momenten toch aan een vette bek. Daar helpt geen moedertje, di\u00ebtiste of calori\u00ebnteller aan..\r\n\r\nOns reptielenbrein dicteert\r\nHet echte probleem is dat we onszelf allerlei eet routines aangewend hebben. Bijvoorbeeld dat we denken dat we als we ongelukkig zijn, onszelf het beste kunnen troosten met een rol Oreo\u2019s. Of dat een serie kijken op de bank pas echt gezellig is als je er een zak chips bij eet.\r\n\r\nWat moet er dus eigenlijk gebeuren als je je taille slanker wilt en je billen een pondje of wat lichter? Je moet jezelf al die stomme gewoontes afleren. De programmatuur van al die gewoontes zit in ons zogeheten reptielenbrein: dat razendsnel reagerende deel van ons brein dat op het moment dat je op de bank neerploft en de TV aanzet, reflexmatig \u2018Chips\u2019 denkt en je naar de voorraadkast stuurt\/dirigeert. Die reflex, daar moet een streep door !\r\n\r\nWilskracht\r\nWat heb je nou nodig om al dat reflexmatige eten te veranderen. Daar heb je wilskracht voor nodig, een vreselijk woord waarvan elke overwichtige direct gaat zuchten: \u2018had ik het maar\u2019\u2026\r\n\r\nWilskracht kun je trainen !\r\nZie wilskracht als een spier en kijk \u2018es aan, de oplossing is er!\r\nJaren geleden is een mooi onderzoek gedaan. Het ging om de vraag of je de onweerstaanbare aantrekkingskracht die er van \u2018iets heel lekkers\u2019 uitgaat, kunt afleren.\r\n\r\nEen dikke man die een enorme snoeper was zette een grote vette snoeppot op tafel midden in de kamer waar hij na zijn werk vaak de avond doorbracht.\r\nDe eerste avonden kon hij het niet laten om inderdaad als hij langs de pot liep, heel sneaky een snoepje te pikken. Maar hee.. allengs lukte het hem langs de pot te lopen, ernaar te kijken, eraan te snuffelen zonder dat hij een snoepje pakte!
