For Referrers

Now is a good time to refer your patients to us! Corona presents a unique opportunity to improve habits and bring a fresh spark to life.

REFERRAL PORTAL

The easiest way to refer is via Zorgdomein or by faxing this downloadable form. Don’t forget to mark it as BGGZ or SGGZ—otherwise, we’ll have to bother you about it again. (Purple crocodile?)

We do our best, but it’s rarely possible for us to resolve ‘habit-related issues’ within BGGZ, mainly because we also work with the client on the underlying causes.

Your patient must also contact us directly by completing the registration form.

Who Fits In With Us?

People struggling with addiction, who still have some flexibility in the mind; interests, hobbies, and a real desire to change

We offer outpatient, personal, and effective support for those who have ‘ordinary’ lives—a family, work, studies, a routine—and want to address their addiction within that context.

We’re here for anyone who regularly visits their GP with recurring issues—stomach problems, COPD, persistent cough, headaches, chronic sleep difficulties, relationship conflicts, low mood, burnout, metabolic syndrome, or irregular eating patterns—where you know or suspect that addiction plays a role.

We’re here for those who can’t be treated for other mental health issues until their addiction is under control. Or for those whose treatment has started but is being held back by addiction.

We’re here for those who have tried various addiction treatments before, may feel a bit discouraged, but still genuinely want to change. It’s important that you still have some structure in your life—through work, family, volunteering, or studies.

Easily Referred via Zorgdomein

If You Are Not Connected to Zorgdomein:

To be reimbursed by your health insurer, a referral letter from your GP or specialist is required. Since 1 January 2014, insurers require the following:

The referral letter must include:

  • Basic or Specialist Mental Health Care (GGZ) and a (suspected) DSM-5 diagnosis.
  • The referral letter must be in the file before the intake.

To make this easier, we have created a referral letter template. We prefer to receive the referral letter by fax. Our fax number is: 020 5248015.

What We Offer

  • Outpatient, individual treatment
  • Basic and Specialist Mental Health Care (GGZ)
  • Approach: cognitive behavioural therapy and motivational interviewing
  • We involve your support network as much as possible in the treatment
  • Focus on developing and strengthening effective habits
  • Common-sense approach: exercise, healthy eating, good sleep, living well
  • On average, we work with clients for six months
  • Follow-up care for one year
  • Personal and committed; one therapist from intake to aftercare
  • Covered by basic health insurance

Coverage

If people do not have a full reimbursement policy, our care is covered at 70% by all insurers. We ask for a personal contribution of around 10% of the total cost.

We base this on trust and income, so those with the highest earnings carry the greatest share. In practice, this means a contribution of €120 for the full treatment at an average income, €80 for lower incomes, and €400 for the highest incomes.

Consultation and Referral

We are happy to consult—either before a referral or during the treatment. If someone is not in the best place with us, we can discuss what other suitable options might be available.

After the intake and at the end of the treatment, we provide a report.

Clients can register themselves using the contact form on this site.

Further Training / Want to Know More?

We find addiction endlessly fascinating—neurologically, clinically, socially, and even philosophically.

We’d love to discuss it with you, your GP group, FTO, or supervision group.
